Hello and have you already seen the manual on member filters?

how to set up member filters?

If you wish not to include something you do not need to select this. When filters are not set up and everything is white in your admin then all the criteria are enabled on default. Once you have created a filter and specified the criteria you need then only those (highlighted) criteria are applied.

Can some one help please. I noticed on my live website some information that doesn't belong. Not sure where it came from or how....but would like to fix it. On top right hand corner you should see the following: username: Natali90, sex, woman, age: 37, star sign: aries, country: Russia.

Hi from Canada. I signed up over the weekend and am just starting to edit my website. Two things I need help with.

1. I want to add my logo and site name to the upper left corner of front page but don't know how. I took some info from the forum and tried it but it didn't work.....I'm probably not putting the html in the proper place. Or maybe I have the wrong code. Can anyone help?

2. I have decided not to put my site up in different languages. English is the only one I want. How do I remove every other language.

Google Unveils Ten Changes to Its Search Algorithm

Google has announced ten changes to its search algorithm, ranging from more relevant snippets to dropping a ranking signal in Image search. Although the tech giant makes nearly 500 changes to its algorithm every year, yesterday's announcement was part of an effort to unveil the "methodology and process" behind such improvements.
One of the latest changes involves snippets. Now when users search Google, they will see snippets with text from the actual page content, instead of text that is part of a header or menu. Another change related to snippets includes rich snippets for people who are searching for software applications. Google will now feature extended snippets with more details about the applications, like cost and user reviews.
Several of the recent changes have to do with the way search results are ranked in Google. For example, the tech giant has refined the way it determines official web pages. The new change will rank official websites even higher. Also related to search rankings, Google has retired one of its signals to help rank its search results, a signal in Image search related to images with information from several documents on the Internet. According to Google, this signal no longer appears to have a significant impact.
Other changes include offering more relevant titles that are specific to the page's content, length-based auto complete predictions in Russian, and fresher date-restricted queries.
In a blog post on the announcement, Google Distinguished Engineer, Matt Cutts, reminds site owners that the ten changes are just a sample of the hundreds of tweaks Google makes each year, and that "even these changes may not work precisely as you'd imagine." He added, "We've decided to publish these descriptions in part because these specific changes are less susceptible to gaming."

The keywords that you use for search engine optimization are very important. Choose the right keywords and your website will get many new customers. Choose the wrong keywords and you will lose a lot of time and money.

Most people focus on keyword suggestion tools when looking for new keywords. However, there are several things that you should do before using a keyword suggestion tool:

1. Describe what you do in easy words
Try to describe what your company does without using any business specific words. How would you describe your company to your parents or even your grand parents? These descriptions help you to find new keywords that are related to your business.
2. Find the unique selling proposition of your company
What makes your company special? How are you different from your competitors? Do you offer great service? Do you offer the lowest prices? If you offer great service, add service related keyword modifiers to your list. If you don't want to sell by price, avoid words like "cheap" or "low cost" in your keyword lists.

3. Find words with multiple meanings
Some words have multiple meanings. If you sell products that have names that can be confused, make sure that your website visitors immediately know what they will get. If you sell tablets, do your customers know whether they are tablet computers, bath tablets, clay tablets, chewable tablets, writing tablets or graphical tablets?

4. Focus on your most profitable products
You don't have to be listed for every single keyword on search engines. If some of your products have a small margin, it doesn't make sense to optimize your web pages for them. Better focus on the keywords that are related to the products that are profitable for your business.

5. Write down the 10 most important keywords. Do not ever stuff keywords. (Here is a hint you will never see anywhere else. The keyword tag is used by Google, MSN and Yahoo for related Words to the Words on your website, not for Words that are. (You didn't hear that from me)
Make a list of the 10 most important keywords and then take a close look at the list. Are the keywords all about the same product? Do you cover all aspects of your services and products with these keywords?

Do not follow your first instincts. Carefully go through the list and check why you find a keyword important.

When you optimize your web pages for search engines, start with very targeted keywords that attract targeted website visitors. Do not use one-word keywords or keywords with multiple meanings. The more targeted your keywords are, the more likely it is that you will get new customers with these keywords.

In the html editor you need to change
body { margin:0; padding:0; background:#fff; font-family:Arial; color:#fff; font-size:11px;}

Change the family, color and size to what you require.

Also
.titleInside {color:#ff7b00; font-size:22px; width:100%; padding-bottom:10px; padding-top:10px}

color and font size of this line to how you want it.

Just play with the details. You can always revert to a previous version if you need to.

I have quite a few domain names. When ever I purchase a '.com' domain I always purchase the '.co.uk' domain to match.

My question is:- If you have a domain linked to WDP site, is it possible for WDP to create sub domains of the domain name for the partner?

Lol. The hanging thing always happens on here. What I meant with the google thing is that if you submit te ads on your page and are a Google adsense publisher, if you use the correct submission software you get paid for clicks on every se you submit it to. I didn't say that lol.

A more 'romantic' font would be more visually appealing for your 'login' and 'registration'. Right now they are in Times Roman and this is a font associated with newspapers and legal documents. These two buttons are also lost on the page, being small and undefined, just kind of floating there. Perhaps a larger button shaped like a wedding invite or a key or something more indicative of a wedding would be more eye-catching.

I have 5 sites up with WDP at present and working on more, just need some visitors, but I have patients. I can wait a day or two.

I joined WDP only a couple of weeks ago. I have asked a couple of times for help but I now feel I am wasting everyones time. If you take time to look through the forums, I think you will find 99% of all the questions are answered already.

I have been reading through here for about an hour this morning and find it very informative and most helpful.

This is my first port of call in future before reaching for the email link.
