I want to add Niche content to my sites for SEO, how can I create pages and write my own content?

Also, I wanted to add a paragraph or 2 on the front page of my sites at the botton where I ahve banners, is this possible?

I also found this - is it possible to add code to every page?

Its possible to add text to the pages, but im not sure on how to upload content to the site. I will find out for you shortly.

To upload content.

Click "My sites" Then "Manage" Then "Files management" Then upload new file.

So on a realistic note, as I am back in the WDP game, could I start to generate say 2-300/month reasonably easily with link exchanges and banner exchanges?

Really want to at least cover the #100 I spent on domain names an dnot recahed that point yet lol

That filemanement is just for images isnt it?

Not just for images Chris. You can use the function to upload any files, then use their web address to put them on your page

I apologise for that then, i thought it was just for images.

Sorry if I have not understood but I dont want to upload a file or an image, I want to actually type content straight into the existing pages

I also want to create new pages say mysite.com/howto or mysite.com/greatsex

Do I do this the same way and then write my own articles on the pages that I created

Maybe I am getting confused, but I would say you need to use the "content management" funcion, which allows to type text or html code and then add it to your front page (thanks to the front page layout) or to create new pages (everything you type will be included to a new page with the general header and footer of your site).

You have to type a short name (the name of the page you will access here : yoursite.com/static/specificsection/shortname.do).

Here is a new links page I've created myself (empty) but as you can check, I can include new a content inside a new page with my chosen name : http://sexonline4free.com/static/partner_content/gotlinks.do

To include text to your homepage, you have to add it thanks to the "front page layout" funcion (if you have a co-branded site) or use the banner section in the "content management" part. You will be able to add any content added to the banner section to your home page, from the "front page layout".

Regarding your question about addind code to all pages, this is not possible I guess. You can edit your main page, and add new page. But adding code to other pages or adding banners, adsense code or whatever at the bottom of the existing pages is not possible.

Also, your right Chris, the file management is for pics only : quote from my admin after trying to upload a .zip file :

Sorry, but the image format is invalid. Only .jpg, .gif or .png files of not more than 2Mb in size can be used

Hope this helps, I'm a newbie to WDP but it worked for me. Just tell me if I'm wrong !

So you could upload a text file.

That's strange, the admin states the only extensions we can upload are png, jpg and gif.

I don't get it, I just tried to upload a zip file and I got a message stating that files other than pics could not be uploaded.

Also, I don't understand : your url has a .txt extension, but it displays an html page.

Hi Thomas, i only send around 700-1000 profiles a month at the moment.
Its hard for me to put time into the sites, marketing them (In Directories, Exchange Programs, Search Engines etc) I run this forum too, along with another company i run. That provides, Design Print & Maketing.

Busy busy! All the time But hey! I love it.

Ive got 7000 or so now. It's a number game for me, i like to see my member count go up and up! - Of course, the income it makes is also important!

Well in all honesty, i've been designing websites now for a good number of years - I didnt know that .txt files will display HTML like that. - So i'll be damned if i figure out how that does! LOL

Maybe a .txt file is allowed as it's an harmless file? - Not sure.
.zip's may contain viruses. So that may block that!

Also, Thomas - Can you try and not use the "Quote Reply" as it's annoying reading the same post over and over, in every post.

- I use the Fast Reply! As it's easier.

You must be right Chris, I guess text files present no risk, that's why they can be uploaded contrary to zip files.

You're not the first one to ask me how I could achieve so many members in such a short period.

Unfortunately, I don't get so much traffic anymore. I used to post on classifieds, but my ads were always removed by the community or by the admins (as you're not supposed to advertise or promote commercial sites on classifieds sites). So now I can't anymore and I will have to work on the long run

Yeah sure I understand. I have been running a gambling site for two years now, and SEO, exchanging links, banners, submitting to directories, checking link partners backlinks, replying to customers, ... is a lot of work.

So if you run another company, along with the forum, I guess you are a busy man haha

I get what ya mean by "it's a number game". I never close my WDP admin, and I am happy each time I see my free members count increasing, even though I did not earn more money !

But of course, the sales section is the most exciting one ! I made 2k # after one month, so I can swear I love numbers too

Now let's see if I can get members again without the classifieds !

700-1000 free members a month is not bad, I would love to get so many profiles without having to post ten thousand times a day on classifieds haha
