Is there a way we can find out how our site fares in the global WDP list ?

You show us the top 5 in the admin page, but how can I find out how close to the bottom of the list my sites are? laugh.gif

I use the daily figures, which are very helpfull, but would appreciate this information.

Chris on holiday, but Lisa will admin if you message her.

I bow down to Chris, but he does not own, or run WDP.

Lisa is Admin, and does a good job, ...but as you say, you need to PM her..

As far as pm`s in WDP to Admin, Ive never once in over a shit load of Pms in the forum had a responce, I had to Mail and Pm the Boss to get one, and I did. (Thank you)

My Pm box will show that I have tried.

Stephen, I have asked a basic, standard question for any Admin to answer, as Admin they should know the basic site set up, either they know the answer, but are not allowed to answer, or they do not visit this forum on a daily basis.

It is only a post, ie, "Dont know , will find out"

But its a no reply, and imho the people driving WDP, are the dedicated members here (apart from Chris)

Robert , comments?

Dear Paul,

Everyone here at WDP does their own job and does it well, and unfortunately forum is not my primary task.

Please message me or just e-mail partners (at) world-dating-partners.com at any time if you need an immediate reply.

We don't have a rating of the sites but I promise that we'll work out the way to show partners where their sites stand.

Regards,

Lisa

Just to let you know - we are working on finding the ways to show partners how their site compares to the rest of the sites.

Any suggestions where you'd like this info to be seen? What data would you like to see there?

Thanks!

Lisa

Hi all,

Indeed everybody who works with an for WDP do a great job!
It would be a great little part in the admin if we could view the overall statistacs, for the best sites.

Eg:

By members per day (Which competitor/partner) sent the most members (by the calendar feature again, so we can show results by day).

By upgrades

By other forms of % that is required to get into that top 5.

Chris.

Hi Lisa,

This would be really helpful.

I think this info should appear on the information panel, on the right of the admin area.

Like a section where we could check the overall statistics of each of our sites for the current period (which we could change with the small calendar), compared to the overall statistics of the adult network (or dating if it's a dating site).

For instance, we would have one line per site, with all the basic info : retention rate, conversion rates, members info, visitors info... (all basic statistics actually except money of course). The two bottom lines would be the overall statistics of both the dating and adult dating network. And somewhere on the page, we could change the period with this small calendar, and all the figures would appear for one month, one week, one day according to the period selected.

Finally, in each case, we could see a green up arrow if our result is better than the overall one for the appropriate network (adult or dating), and a red down arrow if our figure is worse than the overall one.

Furthermore, this table would allow us to compare the performances of our sites at a glance, and motivate us to try to do better than the general statistics smile.gif

Sorry if it looks untidy, I thought about that very quickly and it can be modified or arranged, but I guess something like this would be really useful and not that complicated to realize.

Kind regards,

Thomas
Lisa
Thanks Thomas, we will take note of your ideas - that was really helpful!

Best wishes,

Yes I agree, what a great motivational tool. We know what our competitors in the dating industry are doing, why not post here how well we are doing.

Thanks Patsy, you're right, motivation is the key to success tongue.gif

As the existing list is relatively dongerous to post on the forum. I have been trying to tink away around this. The safest way I believe is to post a list of the partner by domain, to partner by email. I really don't want this info available publically as the competition gain make assumptions that we don't want to let them have.

So why not just make a secure Members only section in this forum ?

The site is secure, but very easy for anyone to get hold of info as anyone can become a partner, even if just very temporarily.

I am looking at ways of improving the admin area, adding graphs and more easily comparable statistics. I think having a visual of comparison of how your sites are performing is a good idea so will look to find ways of implementing this soon.

But If I am a member, even a temp one, then I would still have full access in my Admin panel, and the secure forum.

I agree the Admin panel is the best area, but maybe make it a feature that only kicks in after 60 days or so ?

That way you as Admin can monitor by the new members inputs and sites if they are here just to steal inside info, or a real new Partner.

I don't see that 60 days would work myself. I if I was spying from another network and am in the process of trying, not very successfully cos they aren't as good:( or as open as here at WDP. Then I would just wait out the 60 days. This business isn't just flash in the pan, well not to me anyway its a long term investment of time and money to build your own site(s) membership.

Personally I would say the data should be in the control panel, a graph of performance against the average and against the best using Thomas' criteria which to me look like the top level stats we have in the CP any way so shouldn't take too much coding except maybe to develop a database to hold the data in a format to easily use.

Then of course you want to know your position on the list so 3218th out of 10000 or something like that in each category. I would suggest thats only on a monthly basis for those past the 30 day free membership.

If someone wants to spy they will find a way so don't worry about it.

I like the idea of emailing out to partners Robert, maybe along with the daily stats; a section below or a second page on the workbook would work for me.

Hope this helps, admin - if you need any support on the analysis techniques I could help if you want its an easy enough graph in excel.

I don't see 60 days rule would work aswell, if they wanted to know the information they would just wait.

In the control panel will could have a link to click on Monthy statistics on a spreadsheet. Showing a list of all the domain names, Free Members, Conversion free - paid, Conversion visitors - Free, Current sales for the month. Have a dating monthly figures sheet and an adult monthly figures sheet.

This would be a great motivating tool, so we all know how many members we need to get to be the best. If I could see how much the other sites are earning this would motivate me more.

It's a great idea for a league table, we need to know how well we are doing against our partners.

Andrea
Tim
Some interesting ideas here - keep them coming!

Certianly graphicals displays and charts in admin would be useful, exporting to excel also very useful for those that need to drop figures quickly into their own tables.

Comparison of how each of you compares to others by the sounds of things would motivate you, we can certainly compare to averages and other ranges. It would be difficult to compare to actual figures as we have NDA's in place to protect many companies in individuals interests. However I am sure we could find a way of some sort of opt in league table, or anonymous figures etc.

Back to the questions of security - unfortunately there is little you can do to keep informaiton in public areas secret, even if you put passwords on it. Anyone can become a partner and short of personally interviewing and taking references on each parter we can't stop them from using the forum.

We do our best to help everyone of our partners. Other companies are welcome to try and copy us, immiation the best form of flattery, and they have a lot of catching up to do!
