Can someone tell me how long it takes after registration for my site to go live?
I registered yesterday but still the URL is dead

Can take a couple of days sometimes. Other times, it is immediate.

Anyway, I know that this is quite an old thread, but for new members who would come accross it, here is some additional information:

At the moment, WDP developers are looking to make the process 100% automated. However, as for now, sites are not built 100% automatically. The process is still semi-automated, which means that sites will be launched depending on WDP staff availability.

For this reason, you can never predict when your site will be live. It can be within a few minutes, or within a few hours (sometimes a few days if you create your site(s) at the end of the week). Usually, your site(s) will be live within 24h though.
