Full Version: Links On The Home Page

Hi Lisa or Anyone,

I added www.freerelevantlinks.com to my http://www.speed.execudate.net/links.htm linkpage.
However, for them to link back to my website they specifically require the link to be placed on the home page. I will receive 500 free relevant permanent one-way links if this is done as required.
I can't figure out how to do this. I have a template site.
Can you please help me?

Kind Regards,

Kenneth

Hi Guys,

thanks for your fast replies.
I did add the link to Links & Banners complete with a decription and keywords.
and it was approved but still shows up on the links page instead of on the home page.

Hi Kenneth.

No problem. Just add their link to your Banners page. It will appear at the bottom of your home page after approval.

Cheers

Go to business control center and click my sites, then next 2 your site name click manage, then click Add your Links & Banners, you will see a purple + sign, click it,then put the link code where it says content. also put in a name, and date. It will take a while to be approved.
Cheers

You need to click on Add your Links & Banners not Edit links, then edit the banner.

Hi Stephen,

Add Your Links & Banners is exactly what I have done
but the link shows up on the links page instead of the home page.
The HTML code copies on Edit Links as well.

Also Kenneth, which category did you use with freerelevantlinks ? I've been using this service for a long time now with my gambling site, but did not register my dating sites as there is no category for dating and they state that if there is no vertical market matching our business, then our market is not allowed at the moment.

Anyway, this service is not that good. They are supposed to add one one-way link to your site each month or so, and more if you place their code to more pages.

I've placed their code to all the pages of my gambling site (about 30) for almost six months. And all I am getting is ONE BACKLINK from a PR2 site (mine is a PR3).

Furthermore, we can not contact them ! They state they are receiving too much demand, so they can not reply anymore and we have to check the faq !

What a professional service !!!

So basically, contrary to Stephen, I don't recommend this service at all. The concept is good, but they are not really serious. You can also try freelinksdirect (same service) but it is not good either : five months with them, only ONE backlink too, from a PR0 site !!!

Last point, you WON'T receive 500 one way links ! Where did you see that ? Anyway, you got confused. They don't offer 500 one-way links. Only a few one-way relevant links if you stay a very, very long time with them...

Hi Kenneth and welcome to World Dating Partners.

If you want to remove the links from your links page, you have to go to "edit links" first and remove the corresponding piece of html code.

Then the process to add it to your home page instead is as described above.

HOWEVER, and you'll be sorry to learn there is a "however", you need to have a "banner space" on your template so that your banners are added automatically (a space on the template where it's written "add your reciprocal banners and links here"). None of your two templates have one, that's the reason your banners don't show up.

Go to "front page layout" in your admin area and check the editable blocks. Some of them can sometimes be replaced by a banner space. If not, the only way to do this with a template is to use one with a banner space included at the bottom.

How about link exchange with other partners Kenneth, I have a few sites not just here are you interested? The same goes for everyone else if you do me a half page or at least a couple of paragraphs about your site I'll feature it on a link on my new home page as I want lots of unique content. Put a link in to your site as well of course.

Then I would of course appreciate a link back but not from the site you are sending the link to please to give better PR.

Let me know here if you are interested.

Paul

Forgot to say the page is http://gimesum.com its pretty short on content atm but not for long I just got myself a copy of Dreamweaver CS3 to play with over the weekend smile.gif

No problem Kenneth, you will probably find - on the forum for instance - better ways to spend your time and ad space !

Paul, Tim is working on new ways to exchange links at the moment. Also, some partners think that exchanging links together might be dangerous - same server, so maybe Google won't like it...

I am still wondering if exchanging links with WDP partners is a good idea.
