You are doing nothing really wrong but you have to start building good links (stay away from link farms the search engines dont like them.)

Have some one look at you meta tags as your Title and Decription is what the seach engine pick up.

Please remember without putting you off but a sight can take anything from 3 months to a year to build up to the stage when you start making money.

I hope this doesn't offend anyone but Most new partners have their site and just leave it as it is and think the money is going to pour in and make them rich, running a site takes hours of searching for good links Goggle rank 3 and upwards preferably, exchanging links with them and keeping your site updated.

I think you have done quite well getting a few signups, I have partners who have'nt achieved that.

Remember your competing with millions of sites.

Like anything, you need something they want in order for them to pay. The more you promote your site, the more people join. You wouldn't go into an empty store to buy something would you? Or join something that there wasn't people that you had something in common with.

It does take time and a lot of marketing. See if you can write a press release, they are free to send out. It has to answer the Why, When, Who scenario. Make it newsworthy, get involved in a charity event where your name is mentioned. Get 100's of business cards and drop them off everywhere. Why not at the vet, animal hospital, even at the zoo. You cater to animal lovers....think of where they would be. I leave my biz cards in the washrooms of airplanes!!

I agree with David on that "Most partners, leave there site and think its going to make them millionaires over night" - Alot of work has gone into the system - So there for you dont have to do a great deal.

It's better if you have a few quid/dollar to spend in advertising. But if not, thats not a problem. You need to build up good links and make sure your sites submitted correctly to the search engines.

A percentage of members wont pay for the site.
A percentage of them will pay, at the end of the month (As in when they get paid from work or something)
A percentage of them will pay straight away!

It's all about the luck of the straw quote.

Dont give up, it'll make money!

Sarah, Great looking landing page! Bright and cheerful. Here is what I found in doing a date site.

I had over 2,000 free sign ups and maybe 80 paid members(kinda sad). I sent out an e/mail to the
list offering half price membership to the first 300 people who signed up. I got about 200 paid sign ups
out of that. Then I went back to the freebies and said that anyone who didnt post their photos and
profiles in 30 days would be dropped. I got about 400 photo and profiles out of that.

So the results of all this was 200 new members (and their money ). I got the site fleshed out with
about 600 photos and profiles which made it look prosperous and busy(critical mass!!) After that I
was off and running.

Another problem might be your subject matter. Niche sites some times means small memberships
and small incomes. Even though you have a great looking site maybe not enough people are interested.
In that case you need to find another venue, with a wider interest.

Dont spend a lot of time and money trying to make something work that wont. You have to know when
to cut your losses.!

I have been promoting my sites in several ways since November 2006 and have not had a single sign up on the dating site but get loads of hits and variable sign ups paid.

I would suggest you add an adult site to get interest and cross market with banners.

The first is doing well ish as I'm still learning what works and what doesn't while the second hasn't had a single paid sign up. To me it looks as if your will be in the second category unfortunately.

At the bottom there are banners, have you signed up to any banner exchange programs?

Do you have a banner for your site?
