hey all

On the co-branded designs, once past the first page and browsing through search results for example I notice that the footer links, namely

"Become an Affiliate"
"International Sites "

Both these link through to normal links, not including my affiliate code so in actual fact, if someone does become an affiliate I do not benefit from it, yet I'm the one driving all the traffic.

I'd like to have this changed to include my affiliate code. How is this done and can it be done via my admin panel?

Hi there, thanks for your concers, i am forwarding this to the technical team to see what we can do about this matter. Please allow WDP to look into this matter and they will get back accordingly. I hope all is ok and not too disturbing with the affilidate links. Thanks in advance.

Best Regards

Yes I have noticed this too and have been concernd about it. It would be a great benifit for the partners and their efforts to have their own affiliate code placed in All affiliate links on their sites.

Thats life mate.

This will probably get me banned for a week again. But never mind. Let those who ride decide.

Well spotted David. I saw that too. Annoying isn't it. I have no answer yet. Maybe Tiny Tim or someone can give us an answer to this. The link does go through to an affiliate link though, so someone is earning money from our efforts. Not me nor thee I bet as I see no partners appearing even though the links have been clicked. I think an explanation is in order?
Tim
Hi,

You are correct that links do not include an affiliate code - this is because we have server side tracking, we track what sites people click through on. Anyone joining from your links is associated to you, and your site.

We do not use affiliate code as it is messier. And I hope you will agree that some poeple are more likley to click through if they do not see it as an affiliate link.

If you are linking to WDP externally then you will need to use an affiliate code as we do not track clicks in from external sites.

I hope this answers your concerns
Tim
Signing up affilaites from links on your site is a bit hit and miss. Obviously our dating sites are targeted at memebrs not affiliates, though we clearly do get some partners joining through these links.

Its down to luck if a member or visitor to one of your sites chooses to become an affiliate. And how good they are is also down to some elemnts of luck.

Have you tried any of the following?

Good place for telling people about our program is social community sites, tell your friends about the successes you've had. On forums and on blogs. This way you can target and better pre-sell the program.

If you have friends that are interested, set them up a site yourself by using one of your links - make their first templates site for them and give them a few tips.

Approach existing companies with an existing site, a social orientation, bars, clubs, gyms, existing site owners and tell them of the free branded sites they can have set up which will instantly convert their traffic into further revenue.

These are just some of the ways some parters are signing up good sub partners.

I found a code here in this one:

The option of wanting ppl to make sites from london etc isnt on that one.

Anyways its been explained up there ^^
I will have a good read of it tomorrow, battered now lol.

Thanks Tim.

Thats great

I have been promoting my affiliate code but there is apparently no way to see if I am having any success as there are no new partners showing even though the link has been followed over 100 times so far in the last couple of weeks.

I think its better without the affiliate code link, myself. As you DO get alot of childish people saying "im not going to give someone else 10% of what i earn" and just remove the affiliate code. It doesnt actually touch there percentage, but hey! Thats what people do. Childish, like i said.

We have done this right, so anyone who clicks on the link will be tracked and if they create a site with us, then you'll get 10% of there earnings for life!

The affiliate code, would be good to use all over the place... That hide the link anyway! So there for, you can promote your unique ID anyway!

Its not easy finding good and sucessful partners, but when they come along it's very good and worth your time. "/point Tim, Dave and William etc" these 3 are great partners. I am lucky to have partners like these. One's my brother, One's a very good friend... Well the other's just crazy! - 8-) 'Lil Tim'.

How can i give my partner a nudge?
Well to push your partner in the right direction, send them a message via your admin panel! - It's so easy to do, i advise you to keep in touch on a monthly basis. Give them ideas on how to promote there site. As when your NOT making money! They will make you money!

Whether my sub partner makes me #100 a month or #1 a month - A sub partners a sub partner and they should be encouraged and looked after. As it's those #1's that add up!
