Hi,

I would like to have the ability to add a blog or dating forum to my site, but I want to use my own URL. Is there away to incorporate this idea into WDP?

Thanks,

Chris

You could link from the front page to your blog. Without having direct access to the server you would be unable to install wordpress etc which would be needed for the blog. Same goes for a forum

Maybe WDP can delegate a subdomain to your server. You can run a blog then on your server/hosting account and link to it from your homepage.
For example blog.southafricasingles.net to your servers/hosting ip address.

Great idea, I will ask WDP if they will install wordpress using that method. TY Chris

Hi Chris,

Unfortunately we can't do this, but you can always use another URL on your servers to run forum and blog and then link to them from your dating site - seems to be the really simple hassle-free way of doing it.

This will also benifit you in terms of SEO as the search engines will see it as a seperate site. I will say be careful with the forum as members will end up comminicating for free and will not upgrade on your dating site smile.gif

Good point, I think I will just stick to a blog.

Best regards,

If you do not have hosting at the moment you can create a free blog at blogger.com or wordpress.com. These blogs also tend to get indexed fast by google (blogger.com is owned by google) and other search engines.
