Full Version: Changing Dns Servers
World Dating Partners Forum > Support > Can anyone help?

Hi everyone,

I'm new here, just registered. When I press Create your site after logging in, at some point it requires to put in a domain name. I already have one at Powweb, but I can't change DNS servers for some reason, I must be doing something wrong.

You will need to change the name servers of the domain to:

* Server 1 ? ns1.singlescrowd.com
* Server 2 ? ns1.singlescrowd.net
* Server 3 ? ns3.singlescrowd.net
I logged into my hosting account, went to Domain section and chose Update nameservers, and I get an error:

How can I resolve this issue?
Lisa
Dear Michael,

Unfortunately we won't be able to help here - please contact the company-registrar where you bought the domain name - it is their issue to resolve.

Fantastic response time, I wasn't expecting you to reply that fast, thanks.

Another question then:

I haven't been into website creation for quite a while, so I might have a somewhat wrong understanding, but is it possible to get my affiliate site files and store them at my hosting? So that my site would only use your members database? And why is it important to change the name servers in the first place?

It turns out my domain was locked, hosting tech-support helped to unlock it.

Thanks anyway, I'm looking forward to many more hours on this forum and your partner program. smile.gif

No, we don't send the files so you could use them with your hosting - you need to either transfer DNS or set the records for the domain/sub-domain. But I can see now you have succeeded in switching the DNS, so good luck with your site promotion.
