Full Version: Site Name On Front Page
World Dating Partners Forum > Support > Can anyone help?
Hot (6619)
Hello all. Recently we set up a new site www.shaadisoulmates.com We have tried unsuccessfully to have the name of the site 'Shaadi Soulmates' appear on the front page.
Ideally we would like the site name to appear (in bold type) at the top of the front page. We have had a response from WDP Support suggesting that we edit metatags, however, this has not worked.
Does anyone have any ideas please.
Thanks.
Lisa
Dear Dafyd,

It was not about meta-tags, but HTML of your front page - if you edit HTML you will acheive what you want, given of course that you know how to use HTML or have someone on the team who could help.

Here is the topic that can help you on this - http://forum.worlddatingpartners.com/index...t=0&start=0

Hiya,

As lisa said, you will need to fiddle with the HTML.

You say "at the top" do you mean inside the page or at the top of the Browser?

To get it at the top of the brower you just need to change this portion of your HTML.... remember to remove the RED that i heve used to hilight the change..

otherwise replaceing this portion will give what you want

!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
<head>
<title>www.shaadisoulmates.com</title>

on The otherhand if its in the actual page your best bet would be to either use a HTML editor and create an image and upload that and replace the but you want rid of?? in blue ,,,, or to maybe change the wording and width (in red)?

<td class="left">&nbsp;</td>
<td align="center"><a href="/registration/step1.do"><img src="/images/skin/Index/logo.gif" width="250" height="55" alt="www.shaadisoulmates.com" title="www.shaadisoulmates.com" /></a></td>

Really sorry, i am at work so only have access to MS word lol so cant test them myself..
