Hello,
I signed to WDP a while ago, thinking I would get into the white label dating industry. Since then I have moved in an entirely different direction..Believe it or not moving boxes. Anyhow, I have owned a site for nearly 5 yrs askgrannydate.com which was started as a dating affiliate site, wrote over 75 articles, and seo'ed it over the yrs. it receives over 3000+ unique visitors each mth the majority(94%), being terms granny date, granny dating. I have 1st page listing for these terms, and other granny dating type terms for a long time.

I was thinking of setting up shop, creating a new fresh index page integrated into WDP,or just set up on WDP template and marketing to seniors (U.S traffic) and grannys (U.K traffic).I have decided to not pursue this even though it would most defiantly convert allot of traffic, as the traffic is extremely qualified.

Anyone interested in a massive kick-start to a niche dating business?
This is the link to LIVE traffic. I have traffic stats dating back to 05 here. Site makes 37/mth right now. Can be instantly set up with WDP template, and will get over 3000 clicks a mth.

I am a relative newbie to Internet marketing and having seen and signed up for WDP, I am amazed at the number of people who have done the same.

I would like to ask this question, and I do not mean any disrespect to the creators or owners of WDP, but is there enough business out there for us all to make a reasonable income from this venture?

Having checked out Google for dating sites, it is absolutely phenomenal how many similar sites are out there, and I am wondering whether this is going to be viable.

Please could you set my mind at ease in this regard and give some idea of whether any WDP members are actually making it work for them. I think we all need a bit of motivation in this rather overcrowded market.

I'd like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the system and i wish you every bit of success in promoting your affiliate sites.

When i first joined World Dating Partners, in all honestly - I thought to myself "Bugger This" the system looks too complicated and to much for me to take in. Then i reffered my business partner Dave to the system. A few days later, i logged into my site to see that i had made some money! - I was like ok? Wheres that from! - I then called Dave up and he had already started to market his site - By this time, he'd made a few hundred in his first few days. - Not bad!

I then started to market my sites, by telling a few local people - Getting the word of mouth marketing thing started! - Word of Mouth, i'd say is the best and effective way to market a website. You want people to remember your name! Abit like that term "Remember my name, you'll be screaming it later".

Anyway - by this time, i had a sent a nice figure of members to my site within a certain time frame. Then Robert (The CEO of WDP) phoned me, out of the blue. - Offering me a custom brand for my site and was telling me that my site impressed him with the number of signups.
I was on the old phone for a good hour, at the time - I was just putting my shirt and tie on to go see a client. I was late for that meeting, but what Robert and i got talking about was far more interesting than me going to see this particular client.

Since that phone call, ive put alot of my attention into my sites and promoting them correctly. I now run a nice number of sites. A percentage of which are branded by WDP.

I go to My Sites -> Manage and there is no "Front Page Layout" button.

I go to Site Site Settings and click "HTML Editor" then save and it saves. When I go back to Site Settings it still says WYSWIG Editor like I never saved it!

One of my favourite parts of web-work is coming up with new domain names - so far I've been working on catchy, memorable and short - and even managed to get a great .com with only five letters. But then the other sensible part of me thinks SEO - go for keyword rich domains that are also memorable but obviously longer (and therefore open to miss-typing, error screen, ignore)

So out of interest what do you guys prefer? Catchy short, maybe even made up names that rank for almost nothing on search engines or longer domains that involve adultdating or singlesdating etc?

Please allow me to give a brife introduction,
I’ve been trying to teach myself a little about designing and publishing a website with the thought of setting up a dating website for adults with learning disabilities (I work in this field). I stumbled across the WDP program on my quest for learning material and thought it would be an excellent opportunity for me to learn and hopefully earn, but alas ive fallen at the first hurdle.

I have posted a couple of questions already, once in the wrong area (i think) so i apologise if you see my questions repeated while you peruse the topic's.

I will be updating my members profile a little more as soon as i have learned how.

Hopefully in a few months i will of learned enough to be able to help others instead of having to keep asking dum questions : )

So a quick question - what standard template is the most adjustable?

As in, I can have my own header image or logo at least and use my own colours for the theme and images throughout?

I usually build sites from scratch, so it's wierd gaving something ready built.

Is it possible to design and host your own site but have code snippets that offer wdp member feeds etc? - This is how the other lot work and I guess I got used to doing it that way!

Don't get me wrong I'd love some instant sites, but don't want them to look obviously template based as ppc clickers can now recognise a template from 1000 paces!

I am looking for 5-6 members who run "traditional" dating sites to offer "expert advice" and tips around online dating on a forum I am launching in the next few days.

I will be launching the forum with a May 2010 marketing Budget of £3700, and the site will be advertised via, adwords, facebook, Bing adcentre, Twitter, and severl press releases.

This will be an excellent chance to get your site listed out there and in front of tens of thousands of targeted customers

Initially, I am looking for a 600-900 word piece about dating in general, advice tips- whatever- In exchange I am offering you the chance to have a sticky post of the forum containing your "expert" advice, along with 1 link with relevant anchor text per 400 words submitted.

I will periodically turn to you with specific questions, " interview style" and have your expert opinion published via blogs, the forum news section etc- meaning you get an instant blast to all of the sites subscribers.

I have run this type of campaign in the past with several other niches with great results.

I have a website xyz.com for example, and I want to have a another sexy.xyz.com and then make a site with WDP,

I can make sub domain in my dns, but I need a link to the the 'new site' [what link] , but that would just a be a link,

it needs to be it own site ? No sure how I can configure this with have its own web hosting account, but if I make a hosting account it will effect the current site ?
